I’ve been absent from blogging a little bit recently. Work is keeping me away from baking and I’ve had so many things to do recently. I apologise.
So today’s post won’t have a recipe, which is most unusual. Think of it as more of a catch up. Feel free to comment below and let me know what you’ve been doing this weekend.
The Boy and I had our house warming…finally. We’ve been moved out for about three months, and it only just feels like our place is coming together. Our plants are potted, the kitchen has a loose order to it, the spare room is jam packed with blog props (and still kind of messy, but beautiful in a way) and we’re feeling slightly smug and grown up about it all.
These photos are small snap shots from our house warming, so you can pretend that you were squished into our little apartment at the actual house-warming. There weren’t enough chairs for people, so being able to attend via this post is probably far more comfortable.
I’ve been going instagram crazy this weekend – it’s just been so delicious! I had intended to attend the Flour Market in Surry Hills, but it was sold out by the time I got there, so I grabbed brekkie at the Paramount Coffee Project instead. Apparently the Flour Market will be back in Spring… let’s cross our fingers, because everything I saw posted about it on Instagram looked good.
I went to Mooberry for the first time yesterday and it was glorious. I ate waaaay too much. And am now trying to figure out if I can recreate their waffles and/or churros.
I also discovered the Tea Rooms at the Gunners Barracks in Mosman. The view is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous and the tea pots are adorable.
It was a fabulous way to spend a sunny Sunday, even if we felt that our conversation wasn’t as posh as our surroundings. The food is also pretty fantastic – we each got the afternoon tea and there is more than enough food.
And, more importantly, as many teapot top-ups as your little heart desires.
I apologise for all the insta-spam, but I had such a scrumptious, beautiful and enjoyable weekend that I couldn’t resist. I’ll try to restrain myself in the future!
Although I do have a few more exciting things coming up…so I may just continue to flood your IG feeds!
I’m getting involved in Dine at Mine, a Camp Quality initiative. Is anyone else thinking about it? Let me know, I love the idea! You can pick any date in August to get together with friends. Ask attendees to donate what they would have spent on a meal. It’s a fun way to raise money for a great cause.
In other tea-related news, I’m going to the Sydney Tea Festival soon. An ENTIRE FESTIVAL dedicated to tea! I can’t even. I’m so excited! After discovering Neo Teas at the Aroma Festival last weekend and subscribing to one month of Mr Earl Tea, I really don’t need to purchase any more tea.
But I’m probably going to. Because there is no such thing as too much tea.
My next post will be a recipe, I promise!
Happy house warming! 🙂 I hope you guys will be very happy there! Pictures look great and don’t apologise for it not being a baking post…..equally just as lovely to share your good news xx
