Peaches and ice cream scream summer treat to me. This simple little recipe is just a slight twist on that summer classic.
I realise that in summer the last thing you want to do is have the oven on. But believe me, this little treat is so worth it. The pain of having the oven on is short-lived, and the results are delightful.
What flavours do you crave in summer?
Roast peaches:
Serves 4
Slice peaches in half and remove the seed. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Pop them in the oven for 20-25 minutes until just soft. Allow to cool for two minutes. Serve with vanilla icing and a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds for the perfect Summer treat.
If you’re admiring the gorgeous bunting in these photos, you can check them out here. They’re done by Illume Design, and they’re perfect for a summery Christmas!
Everything looks so lovely…our weather is quite different 🙂 and the peaches look perfect!
Thank you Laila 🙂 I know, it’s so funny when I see hearty recipes and pictures of snowy scenes on other blogs, while mine is full of summer fruit and sunshine!
