Did you know that today is World Nutella day? No? How could you miss such an important world event? I’ve had it pencilled into my diary for weeks! I feel that I should declare that this is not a sponsored post (although I would totally be open to sponsorship by Nutella, because that would be DELICIOUS), I just really love the stuff.
The problem in my house is that Nutella tends to only last a number of hours, which means it’s rare that I get the chance to cook with it. Even if one of my family members manages to sneak a jar into the house, it is detected and devoured very quickly. We’re like truffle pigs for Nutella… Nutella humans?
I’m getting off track.
In my short time blogging, this tendency to consume Nutella instead of cooking with it means that I have only made three Nutella recipes. I can personally assure you that each of these recipes are delightful, so if you decide to make one of them for World Nutella Day, you won’t be disappointed.
The Nutella pots de creme are the richest of these three recipes. They’re soft and creamy and Nutella-y and there are six of them, so you don’t have to worry about sharing any of your serving! These little pots would also be a perfect for Valentine’s day, which is just nine short days away from the far more important celebration of World Nutella day.
The Nutella sponge cake was my saviour when my contract finished at my last job. The middle can be a little bit dificult, so it’s important to cut with a sharp, thin knife, but the results are very much worth it. It is spongey, creamy and Nutella laden in all the right places… I don’t think I need to say any more!
The Nutella fudge. My arch nemesis, my motivation to go to the gym, the tastiest little no-bake square that I may have ever produced.
It is heaven in a mouthful. Squidgy, chocolatey and just delightful.
Whichever recipe you choose, enjoy it! Or, if you don’t have the chance to bake, have some Nutella straight from the jar, because today gives you a great excuse to do so!
So happy you are a day ahead! That means there is still time for me to take advantage if Nutella day tomorrow 🙂
Is it today? Or was it yesterday?? Either way, I think there is still time to celebrate!! I’m glad to know that Nutella has it’s own day of recognition, and rightfully so!! Wonderful post!! 🙂
Haha it was Feb 5th, so yesterday for me 🙂 I love that I had an excuse to re-visit old Nutella recipes… and now I want to make more! Thanks for commenting!

Haha agreed! Personally I think Nutella day should be celebrated a few times a year!
Those chocolate nutella pots look amazing, and so creative. I’m very sad I missed world nutella day. I will have to mark it on my calendar for next year. These things are important.
Haha, World Nutella Day is underrated, it is clearly a day of worldwide importance! Thanks for commenting 🙂
